Update for Saturday, July 5th
To formally kick off the local tomato season, tomorrow we will have a special visit from noted food writer Miriam Rubin will be visiting the market. She will be doing a cooking demonstration with recipes from her Tomatoes Cookbook. She will also have books available to purchase. Its really an honor to have Miriam take time out of her busy schedule to visit our market. So please come out and visit her and help spread the word. We plan to start the cooking demonstration around 10 am.

BANDY Woodworks All items are made in their shop using local reclaimed and salvaged wood and non-toxic finishes. They just got in a fresh bactch of beautiful cutting boards.

Update for Saturday, July 5th
I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July holiday. Please don't forget that the market is open as usual tomorrow. We will be fully stocked with great locally grown items. This will be the first week for local corn. I also expect some local berries. Please see below for details.
An important note for next week, July 12th. We have confirmed that noted food writer Miriam Rubin will be visiting the market. Update for Saturday, June 7th
It looks like a beautiful weekend and we hope the you will want to get it started with a visit to the market. We will have lots of great stuff at the market, inlcuding locally grown spring items.
The big new item this week is local strawberries! Get there early! Other local items including kale, asparagus, spring lettuces, rhubarb, and tomoatoes. Also lots of plants and hanging baskets for the garden.
We have some new cheeses available, pleases see the Wheel and Wedge update below for details. It is a very special cheese from Vermont.
Since its Rhubarb season, I want to share an article that our friend Miriam Rubin did last week in the Post-Gazette. We always get questions from folks on what to di with rhubarb, so this article should help. You may remember that Miriam visited the market last year after she published her Tomatoes Cookbook. She plans to make another visit to the market this summer, probably in July.

BONELESS PORK LOIN CHOPS...Easy and ready in slow cooker or braising low in oven or on stove slowly...1 packet of your favorite flavor taco seasoning mix and 1 small jar any flavor salsa you like best....Mix & pour over 2# of plain pork chops or pork that's been lightly browned in oil. Cook at least 5 hours on low. Goes over rice or pasta or in soft taco shells.

Update for Saturday, May 24th
We hope you will make a visit to the market part of your Memorial Day Holiday. We will have lots of great stuff at the market, inlcuding locally grown spring items. Local items including asparagus, spring lettuces, ramps, and rhubarb. Also lots of plants and hanging baskets for the garden.
We just received a large shipment of fresh pressed California olive oil. We now have 7 varieties, including 4 that are certified organic. We also got a new shipment of bottles.
